Product Description

Ring Set, Piston (std) for 90~95 ZR-1 LT5. Sold as a COMPLETE engine set of NOS piston rings, for STANDARD bore size with STOCK pistons. One (1) engine set is required per engine (all 8 cylinders).

NOTE: These are NEW, original stock (NOS) GM piston rings, manufactured by Goetze-Mahle for GM. They are uniquely applicable to only the ZR-1 LT5 engine. We have a VERY limited number of these NOS ring sets. All we have is the quantity shown. When they are gone...... "that's all folks!"

NOTE: GM OEM piston rings are no longer available from GM, or any other source to our knowledge. Inventory is very limited with no replacement possibility. There is an after market supplier producing rings represented to be for the LT5 engine but sources indicate the compression rings are too small, resulting in excessive piston/ring side clearance and cross section width. The oil control ring furnished with these aftermarket sets are of the 3-piece design, whereas the OEM ring is a 2 piece ring, specified by GM & Lotus design engineers for the LT5 nikasil cylinder sleeve.
