Seal, Oil Pump. For 1990~95 ZR-1 Corvette. One(1) seal is required.

This seal is an original part, made by John Crane for GM & in the same packaging as sold by GM. Our inventory is the remaining stock from the original manufacturing run John Crane made for GM.....LAST OF THE OEM SEALS.

Installation tip: Be very careful handling the seal as the contact face of the seal is made from carbon/graphite and lapped to a very high degree of flatness. The material is very durable in service but easily damaged. The companion part to this seal is the steel crank washer which also has a lapped surface. Avoid cleaning with any abrasive material. Do not lay either side of the seal mating surfaces on the face. Seal leakage results in less than optimum oil pump efficiency and is not detectable on the exterior of the engine. Highly recommended to be replaced when the engine is disassembled and the oil pump is removed.
