Product Description

RAM Dual Disc Organic Clutch & Flywheel Kit, for 90~92 ZR-1 Corvette.

RAM Force 9.5 dual disc conversion systems for C4 Corvette eliminates the stock, pull style clutch components and dual mass flywheel. The RAM system consists of aluminum flywheel, hi-clamp pressure plate with 2800 pounds clamp load, two 300 series organic clutch discs, an internal hydraulic release bearing and the necessary fittings to adapt to the factory master cylinder.  This system will hold up to 750ft/lbs torque.  Total rotating mass, flywheel, discs, floater  & pressure plate weighs 36 lbs, compared to the OE Dual Mass flywheel & clutch at 59 lbs.

NOTE: All RAM Clutch ZR-1 LT5 kits are fine tuned in-house by Jerrys Gaskets, before being shipped to the customer.  This means there are no installation measurements required, no shim pack calculations & no length adjustments to the Hydraulic Release Bearing stud.  Hydraulic line routing with the proper fittings and HRB orientation, is simple.  This Jerrys Gaskets exclusive feature will save the installer not only significant time, it eliminates measurement errors.  Our custom instructions with photos, makes installation simpler and results in higher consumer confidence.

 Includes the following components:

  • Aluminum Billet Flywheel, 15#
  • Force 9.5 Dual Organic Disc Clutch System
  • Hydraulic Release Bearing Kit

  1. Dual DIsc Clutch Installation Experience 4 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Apr 2015

email from customer to Jerry's Gaskets

    "Jerry -

Just to advise, fitted the RAM setup no problem this weekend. I got side-tracked, and only got to it on Sunday, and just need to re-install the exhaust which I'll do next weekend.

In any case, short summary is it was pretty easy. I cut a 1.5" peek hole at 4 o'clock in the bell-housing, which was useful as I could shine a light in there while positioning the bearing onto the guide stud. Bleeding was very easy.

And after probably an hour measuring everything - clutch height, flywheel height, crankshaft flywheel flange, bell-housing height, bearing retracted, bearing fully open (and every combination in-between I think!)... I confirmed, in short, that *no shims* were necessary - it was simply plug and play. I'll write up the notes next week.

Clutch feel is nice (at least what I could feel with the car jacked up!), clutch engages and disengages.

Overall RAM kit looked and felt good quality.

    Thanks for your assistance."
