RAM Single Disc Organic Clutch & Flywheel Kit, for 89~92 ZR-1 Corvette.  Designed for complete compatibility of components, to eliminate the original pull-release style clutch and dual mass flywheel. This kit, with the 300 series organic, single disc, will handle up to 550 horsepower.

 NOTE: All RAM Clutch kits are fine tuned to the ZR-1 LT5 application, in-house by Jerrys Gaskets, before being shipped to the customer.  This means there are no installation measurements required, no shim pak calculations & no length adjustments to the Hydraulic Release Bearing stud.  Hydraulic line routing with the proper fittings and HRB orientation, is simple.  

 This exclusive feature will save the installer not only significant time, it will also eliminate measurement errors.  Our custom instructions with many photos, will make installation much simpler and result in higher consumer confidence.  

Contains the following components;

  • PN 10212536      Aluminum Flywheel, 14# 
  • PN 10210401      Hi-clamp Pressure Plate with 2800 pounds clamp load, 
  • PN 10210309      300 series organic clutch disc,
  • PN 10218145      Internal hydraulic release bearing (large bore)
  • Accessories         AN braided SS lines & fittings to adapt to OEM master cylinder.

Kit does not include the following recommended components;

    After much deliberation (Stock vs. Aftermarket), I picked the RAM; the greatest contributing factory was Jerry's steadfast support to our ZR-1 community (Best alternator out there, BTW). Buy the bolts, pilot bearing, skip-shift eliminator, and for good measure, a passenger side exhaust flange gasket (I’m sure Jerry would be more than happy to fill that order).

    Drive it, you’ll likely notice that the clutch effort is 1/4 that of the original system.

    I’m 100 miles into my break-in and I don’t have a lot of clutch smell. There isn’t any slipping, I feel that if the break-in process goes as planned I’m going to be singing at 7,200 revs for a long time to come, with a system which is a little more ‘future proof’ than finding OEM replacements. I’ll chime in with a long term update as soon as ‘long time’ happens. :)
