There is still some uncertainty about exactly what was the correct oil filter label that came on a brand new ZR-1 Corvette.  What I can tell you, with a high degree of certainty, about the PF970 oil filter (note there is not a letter C on the end) is that they were never sold retail and only installed at the Mercury Marine facility.  The PF970 is the original oil filter for the 90, 91 & 92 models and on at least some, of the 93, 94 & 95 model engines, based on a report from a ZR-1 owner who collects 1995 ZR-1's. 

However, We have had a number of new crate engines over the years, and none of them have had the PF970 label.  All have had the PF970C label.  It should be noted that GM SPO crate engines were built after the the engines destined for the Bowling Green assembly plant were built. The PF970C filter was also sold as a replacement by GM.  The point here is that the filters on crate engines do not necessarily represent what was installed on engines destined for the ZR-1 assembly plant.

Our labels are very exacting reproductions of the original label on the PF970 oil filter.  Simply peel off & stick-on. For best results, we recommend careful removal of the factory label before installing. We use a product called Goo-Gone.  It doesn't damage the paint on the filter.  

The size of the original PF970 oil filter is; 4-9/32" long x 3-21/32" diameter.  Placement of the label is approximately 9/16" from the seal end of the cannister.
