Engine, 405 Hp, New, Complete Crate Engine, for 93~95 ZR-1 Corvette.

This engine is a 1995 model, but will directly replace all 405 Hp engines in the 93~95 model years. 

It will also replace the 375Hp version in the 90~92 model ZR-1 Corvettes.  There are a few items that are required for conversion.  We will be happy to offer you store credit for any items that are necessary to remove for your installation and apply to items needed to make the conversion.  Contact us for a quote;

• re-use oil dipstick, tube & seal from existing engine. If new seal req'd, see our PN 10106190
• re-use the AC compressor as the refrigerant line connection is different from the 93~95 style
• the 93~95 oil level sensor is on the opposite side of the oil pan from 91~92 engines.  1990 LT5 engines were not equipped with oil level sensor.
• re-use the 90~92 (early style) clutch release bearing.  93~95 transmissions used a smaller diameter guide tube & therefore a smaller i.d. clutch release bearing
• re-use the 90~91 power steering hoses, the connections to the oil cooler & steering rack are different
• remove the EGR valve, bracket & pipe.  Will require a block-off plate on the plenum where gasket was attached. 
• replace the eprom/prom in the existing ECM with a prom calibration for 93~95, see EPROM,PROM USED w/OEM Calibration, 90~95 [14D1]

This is a brand new GM crate engine, complete with bellhousing, flywheel & clutch, and all accessories, AC/comp, alternator & power steering pump.  GM did not include the ECM, oil dipstick/tube or exhaust manifolds with crate engines. 

NOTE: For reference, the photo shown is of a 1994 LT5 crate engine previously offered by Jerrys Gaskets.  We chose not to dismantle the crate & packing to photograph the new 1995 engine.  If/when we ever do re-crate the 1995 engine into a more substantial crate for shipping, new photos will be available then.
