Bolt, Camshaft Sprocket, for 90~95 ZR-1 LT5. Sold individually. Four(4) bolts are required per engine.

New and improved Camshaft Sprocket Bolts made to our specifications by Automotive Racing Products, the recognized leader in high performance fasteners.  Our new bolts are made with a full height, 6pt hex drive to facilitate the high torque loads during installation and removal and resist head deformation from socket slippage. 

It is no longer necessary to install the cam sprocket bolt using the cumbersome torque + angle procedure.  By using our bolt, only straight torque is required.  Elimination of the torque/angle procedure also eliminates any concern as to how many times the bolt can be tightened during the cam timing procedure.

 NOTE: GM technical manuals state that the factory installed cam bolt should always be replaced with a NEW bolt.  Jerrys Gaskets Cam Bolts can be safely reused because they are made of higher strength alloy steel and not installed at TTY (torque to yield).

NOTE: Cam Bolts and camshaft threads should be cleaned with oil free solvent to remove all oil & residues.  Before installation, apply oil only to the under side of the bolt flange and apply Loctite 262 only to the bolt threads.  Torque to 80 ft-lbs (108 NM).  Following the proper procedure will result in optimum clamping force which exceeds that of the OEM bolt.
