IMPORTANT NOTE: There are two(2) different Melling lifters currently in Mellings distribution chain. They are identifiable from the original packaging by where the lifter was manufactured, either Taiwan or Mexico.  There is are dimensional differences between them, readily identifiable by the extended height of the lifter.  You must specify which lifter you want when the order is placed.  Supplies for the Taiwan mfg lifter are limited and will not be restocked when they are exhausted.

NOTE: Jerrys Gaskets has evaluated the Melling lifter for use in the C4 Corvette LT5 engine and finds the lifter suitable for use with stock camshafts and valves, PROVIDED VALVE STEM HEIGHT IS CORRECT. 

It is essential to measure valve stem height to insure the hydraulic lifter is compressed within the correct operating range.
